III Teaching procedures

Step 1: Warming up

1. Daily greeting

Greet with students briefly.

2. Play a clip of video for them

Play a clip of video which is named The pursuit of Happiness, the part of Dad were interviewed by a big company. And lead to today’s topic.

Step 2: Pre-listening

1. Ask them to make a prediction about this passage according to the topic.

2. Invite some of them to tell their predictions.

Step 3:While-listening

1. Extensive listening.

a. Play the radio for them and ask them to check their prediction.

b. Check out their prediction and tell the main idea of this passage.

c. List the main titles of questions in this interview

2. Intensive listening.

a. Play the radio for them one more time.

b. Ask them to fill in the table on the blackboard.

Step 4: Post-listening

Lead them to make a role play with their desk mates about their personal information in five minutes and then invite students to share their answers.

Step 5: Summary and homework

Summary: Lead them to review what we have learned together.

Homework: Ask them to make an ID card of themselves in English.
